Hand-illustrated
Each colour story is hand-painted or created from original etchings by Tamara. None of our art is digitally created, copied or purchased.
Fair-made
All of our products are made by a small family-owned print specialist in India which as been running since 1932 and has accredited fair trade working standards and ethical practices.
Low-impact
We only print in very small batches using more sustainable fabrics with digital printing, which uses less water than screen printing, to lessen our impact on the environment as much as possible.
Natural dyes
Our scarves and accessories are printed using less harmful chemicals and are AZO-Free
No waste
By using our own weavers our fabrics are woven to specific widths so cutting fabric to waste is minimised and because we print in such small batches, we never throw anything away.
Box Free
We are moving to being "Box-Free" by creating more sustainable silk pouches - made from off-cuts from our “Tree” silk squares.

We use sustainable materials where possible: silk and cashmere are both renewable materials with low environmental impact and can be recycled; modal is a renewable, biodegradable fabric made from soft wood trees.
Less water
By printing our scarves and accessories digitally, we save at least 60% of water consumption and have a significant reduction in ink. We also use less energy.
We want our customers to not only love our wonderful scarves, bags and cushions, but also be happy with the way they are produced, we want to be as transparent as possible and to share our values with you.
All of our products are made with accredited fair trade working standards and practices. We partner with printers in both England and in India. Each is a specialist with a wealth of family experience, spanning half a century in printing, weaving and handwork.

We are excited to replace our gift boxes with more sustainable silk pouches made from the same silk as we use for our “Tree” silk squares. As well as being more environmentally considerate, they are a lovely way to store each scarf at home, or anything else delicate. And they look and feel beautiful too. We’ll still provide the option of a gift box, whilst we have some in stock, but plan to be box free as soon as possible. And like the boxes, our pouches will be included in the price of our scarves.

We are just starting and we are working on more ways of bringing beautiful products with minimal environmental impact.

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
